The medium warehouse is an occidental trade building that provides market carts which pick up goods from production buidlings as well as a location to trade with passing ships.

Medium warehouses cannot be built directly but instead can only be upgraded from small warehouses. The total cost for a medium warehouse is four hundred fifty gold coins, five wood, five tools, and four stones which includes the price of of preceding small warehouse. Typically you would only be paying one hundred fifty gold coins, two wood, three tool, and four stones for the actual upgrade from a small warehouse to a medium warehouse. A medium warehouse can be upgraded to a large warehouse for three hundred fifty gold coins, two wood, one tool, three stones, and two glass once there are patricians living in your settlement.
Warehouses are used to claim islands and one must be built before any other buildings can be built. Only one warehouse is allowed per island.
