Quests and Achievements

"The Devil pales in comparison to me!" is a Diplomacy Achievement that requires the player to complete the following quests for Cardinal Lucius. He will only offer these quests while the player has an Alliance with him. The player must also have reached the Metropolis status, except for the first quest.

• Holy duty (Build and complete an Imperial cathedral)
  • The Imperial cathedral foundation must be unlocked but not built yet.
  • The Imperial cathedral Victory condition must be inactive.
  • This quest will be disabled if you begin the 'True riches' quest from Marie d'Artois.
• Befitting (Acquire 500,000 Gold coins)
  • The player's current Wealth must be less than 400,000 Gold coins.
  • The Wealth Victory condition must be inactive.
  • This quest will be disabled if you begin the 'Measure the Empire' quest from Giovanni

"The Grand inquisitor" is a Diplomacy Achievement that requires the player to complete the following quests for Cardinal Lucius. He will only offer these quests while the player has an Alliance with him and is at war with at least one other Opponent (or Corsairs). The first quest requires the player to be at the Patrician Civilisation level and have at least 1 Warship, while all other quests require the Noblemen Civilisation level and at least 2 Warships.

• The Hammer of Witches I-III
• The devil's work I-VII
  • At least one Barrel cooperage must be built on any of your settlements
  • At least 4 quests for Lucius must already have been completed
• The writing of history I-VI
  • Requires the player to have reached the Metropolis status.
  • At least one Pearl fisher's hut and Gold mine must be built on any of your settlements.
  • At least 4 quests for Lucius must already have been completed.

The "Wolf in Robes" Military Achievement requires the player to beat Cardinal Lucius in a Continuous game after at least 4 hours of playing.
